Will time ever slow down???

So much has been going on lately, my sweet baby boy just turned 5 years old, yes 5! I am the mother of a 5 year old! Oh my gosh. It still gets me when I look in the rear view mirror and see not only his sweet face, but the just as sweet face of my 7 month old Luke, oh yes I am the mother of two! It blows my mind sometimes that I am responsible for two little boys. It is truly the greatest feeling in the world though when Jackson calls me mommy or Luke holds his arms out for me to pick him up. It just warms my heart.  I mean look at these two.

Alright so Jackson had his 5th birthday party a week ago and it was a blast! We had a huge water slide, which I failed to get a picture of with them in action. Really sorry about that, but I was sliding down the slide with them and it was way too much fun.

No theme, it was crazy, fun and slightly unorganized. The cake was baseball, the banner was The Avengers and well everything else was whatever I could find and Jackson loved it! He had a great time and that's all that matters to me.

Oh I totally forget...on the morning of his birthday I hung balloons from the doorway in the hall so he could walk through them when he woke up and I put as many as I could blow up in his room and through the house for him. This first reaction is the one I usually get when I try to surprise this boy.

Later much much later, I asked him to please let me take a happy picture and this is what I got. He is just not a morning person.

Now for the so much other stuff, Luke had and ear infection all week long which was horrible. He never ever cries and he cried all week. It just breaks my heart. He couldn't sleep with his stuffy nose, and his throat was sore and he would not drink his bottle. I hate when babies don't feel well.

To top that off, sometime during the birthday party Jackson stubbed his toe and on Tuesday we noticed it might be infected. Well let me tell you it was! I had to take him the the doctor to make it wasn't staph. Thankfully it was not and it is looking much better after soaking it all weekend. I have a picture, buuuut it's gross.

The job of a mommy is endless and I love every second of it even when it exhausts me to tears.
