Bike Riding and Band-Aids
Jackson learned how to ride his bike this past week with no training wheels! We had tried once before and it didn’t go over so well; he got mad kicked the bike and that was it. Well last week we went to go ride and one of the training wheels on his bike was broken, so Grant told him it was time to learn, that it could not be fixed. Seeing as how last time ended on such a bad note, I tried to sweeten the deal by telling him we would buy him a new bike if he mastered riding this one. Well that little stink got on that bike and took off! He was ramping in the ditch and speeding down the road like nobody’s business. When he came back he looked at me and said “so can we go buy me a new bike this weekend” I was speechless.
He did awesome the entire day and even into the next, and then we had a crash. It took three Cars band-aids and a cupcake to make it better and I thought I would never get him into the bath.
Next day, he was at it again. No scrapped knee was stopping this boy. That was until he crashed again, only this time the road got the best of his little knee. And then the elbow. Good news is, he still wants to go ride only now he is requesting knee pads, which we will go pick out this weekend. The pictures of his second and third incident are not as pretty so I thought it would be best not to post.
Looks like we will be buying a lot of Band-aids!
