Cabin Fever
The Family Stone is on, my fireplace is roaring, there is a hot pot of coffee on, and Luke is finally taking a nap. Everything is right in the world.
It hasn't been like that lately though, for the past couple of weeks I've been a little antisocial I guess you can say. Last week Luke was sick and we stayed inside pretty much the whole week and that will make you go a little crazy. I mean, I am the biggest homebody ever, but when I can't go anywhere (Tjmaxx for Christmas stuff) then it starts to get to me. Jackson was also out of school and all he wanted to do was go out and play, but the first few days were wet and cold, and he had to stay in. It was a little rough.
It was also Thanksgiving week and there was cooking to be done and family fun to be had which we did. We had a great Thanksgiving, I love to eat and when you are not frowned upon for getting seconds and thirds of turkey and dressing and all the pecan tassies you can fit in your mouth, it makes it even better. And yes, I did that. Oh and my mom made the best peanut butter fudge ever. I'm going to try and make some original chocolate fudge today, we'll see how that goes.
To top everything off, I have finals next week and I had papers due this week. I thought school was difficult before and for some crazy reason it would be easier this time around, but I was wrong. It is a lot harder when you have little ones and quiet time doesn't come around very often in this house.
I feel like I haven't been out of the house or seen anyone in forever. I need to go have lunch somewhere fun with friends and go shopping for Christmas goodies.
The Family Stone is such a good movie...makes me cry my eyes out, though.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about the cabin fever! I think Ella gets it too, because if we don't go anywhere for several days she starts asking for Target! lol
