Life at the Beach!
I am in love with these three boys and this view. If I could be anywhere in this world I would want to be sitting on the porch of my beach cottage listening to the waves every morning and evening. It relaxes me, it puts me at ease like no other.
This was our second time staying in Seaside, Florida and it will be our summer home for now on. Everything about Seaside is amazing, the little shops, fish tacos, outdoor movies, the people and the smell, oh I love the smell of the ocean. It is almost an imaginary land, everyone is beautiful and happy and the houses are all pink, yellow and aqua (not blue, a BEAUTIFUL aqua). I would love to live in an aqua or pink colored cottage!
Would you look at these beach studs just hanging out. Jackson was a castle building machine, whereas Luke just supervised from the safety of his blowup pool filled with toys.
Okay so I was not as super awesome as I thought I would be at taking pictures at all the little places we ate. I did manage to get a few, this one of Bud & Alley's was taken by my mom, she jumped out of the car snapped the picture and then ran and hopped back in when I stopped at the stop sign. We do what we have to do.Grant and I had our date night here; I had a yummy glass of wine and pizza to die for. It was salami, fresh mozzarella, basal leaves and honey! Yummmmie!
Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill is where I tasted my first oyster and it was better than I expected, a lot better actually. I loved them! We ate here twice, yeah, it was that good.....
Now this was a favorite for my parents, The Village Cafe. My parents ate here a few times and on the day we decided to join them we sat on the back porch and a squirrel joined us! I totally failed at taking pictures on this trip. It is just the last thing on my mind to pull out a camera; I am too busy reacting to situations (i.e. acting like a crazy person that this animal is two feet from me and not scared of me at all)! Anyway, Jackson, Grant and my Dad thought it was a great idea and against the wishes of the wait staff to feed it. Really?
Cowgirl Kitchen, loved this place. It was right across the street from our cottage and every morning we walked over for coffee and biscuits. It didn't hurt that there were some awesome little shops right behind it either. I managed to snap a cute pic of my boys window shopping.
Every night Grant and Jackson went down to the beach to go crab hunting and this is some of the crabs they caught one night. They were huge and I can't believe they were down there picking them up!
Can't forget my stud of a husband! I snapped this one during breakfast one morning.
Oh and me and my dad.....love this man.
Ok...now I want to go!!
