Cutest one year old ever!

This weekend we celebrated Luke's first birthday! All of his favorite people were there with lots of goodies just for him. We just had a sweet and simple party with just the grands and great grands which was perfect for me seeing as how I am not the greatest entertainer. I made my most delicious red beans and rice or as some like to call it pinto beans and rice. I use pinto beans obviously, red beans are hard and I rarely plan anything with enough time to go soaking beans the night before.

I had a little cake made. I had every intention of making a cake, I even made a practice cake, but I had a not so hot day before his party and decided at that moment I was too stressed to make it. So here is the cake I had made for him and some pictures of him loving it!

Needless to say he LOVED the cake, made him a little sick later, but he loved it! Oh and that hat he's wearing.....made it! Oh yeah I made it and his banner.
