Lunch on the lake

This past weekend we took a little road trip to Karnack, Texas with Grant's parents and some friends of ours to have lunch on the lake. We ate at Big Pines Lodge and it was delicious. They had the best jalapeno hushpuppies and fried shrimp ever. Also, big fav with the husband and everyone for that matter was the fresh bacon on the salad bar.  Everything was good, the fish was delicious, the tea was sweeeet, and the fries were homemade. I cannot wait to go back. 

They also have steam boat tours. We weren't able to go this time, but plan to go back very soon and check that out. I know the boys would love it. I know Luke just loved being able to watch it and all the other boats going up and down the lake. They have a huge outdoor deck and that's where we had lunch. The weather was perfect and anytime you can eat outdoors with kids it's a win win. That way you don't make too much noise and you can get away with letting them run a little wild and my boys like to run wild. 

A little exploring with Wazoo and you know we had to fit in some family pictures. 

And for whatever reason, Luke wore that glove for the most part of the day.
